Charity of the Week – GROW
GROW is a community-based mental health organisation which helps people who are experiencing mental health difficulties. Aimed at promoting positive mental health, GROW has been holding peer-support group meetings across Ireland including Cork for almost 50 years. Each week, GROW groups meet in 15 locations across Cork city and county, offering mutual help and support to those affected by mental health problems.
There are many reasons that a person might find themselves in difficulty – stress, anxiety, depression, loneliness and isolation. At a GROW meeting, you will find acceptance, support and friendship in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Meetings follow a practical 12-step recovery program, are confidential and free of charge.
