Charity of the Week – Sexual Violence Centre Cork

The Sexual Violence Centre Cork provides services to victims of sexual violence, including rape, sexual assault, child sexual abuse, sexual harassment, domestic violence, sex trafficking and FGM.   Services include: telephone helpline, support, advocacy, accompaniment, psychotherapy and art therapy.   The services are free and available to women, men and teenagers over 14 years of age.

The Sexual Violence Centre has 2 main aims:

  1. To work towards the elimination of violence in society.
  2. To provide the highest standard of service provision to victims of sexual violence.

Did you know?

This year the Centre has been in operation for 33 years.    By walking or running for the Sexual Violence Centre in the Evening Echo Mini-Marathon, you will help raise much needed funds for the Centre and by wearing our new fairtrade T-shirts raise awareness of sexual violence.

We hope to see a sea of our new T-shirts on the day!
